Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University was established in 1964 and it is the oldest and biggest university in Chandigarh. With over 180 affiliated colleges that are offering education under the university and an ‘A’ grade accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) the university offers higher education with great excellence in various departments like Ancient Indian history, anthropology, Women studies, Bio Technology, Economics, Electronics and Photonics, Law and tourism and various other departments throughout the state of Chandigarh.
