Maharashtra Board conducts board examinations every year. Maharashtra Board conducts board examinations twice in the year. About Maharashtra Board
The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, one of the major boards of the country, was formed under the provisions of the Maharashtra Act No. 41 of 1965. Many students appear for the examination through the Maharashtra State Board. It conducts SSC Exams through the nine Divisional Boards namely Pune, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Nasik, Amravati, Nagpur, Latur and Ratnagiri.
Looking at the statistics of last year, the state saw a 3.14 per cent increase in the result as compared to the Maharashtra SSC Result 2014, like the other records, the girls in 2015 outperformed boys with a pass per cent of 92.14 as against 90.18 per cent of boys.
Total 15,77,303 students had registered from all the nine divisions out of which 15,72,268 students appeared for the exam and out of that, only 14,37,922 cleared the examination. While there were 1,53,401 repeated students registered of which 1,52,552 students appeared and 75,262 students passed the exam with a pass percentage of 49.34.
