UPSC CDS Exam Notification 2016: Air Force, IMA, INA vacancy/ Jobs/ Apply Online
UPSC will go to commence the entrance paper commonly known as CDS. An aspirant with this will be able to appoint on the Indian military and Air Force. Interested candidates have to register their names for the examination. The forms will be uploaded on the official website by 16th of July 2016. Union Public Service Commission is India’s one of the most well-known government body. It is responsible for holding the entrance examination for the state as well as the national level. Some of the most prominent papers conducted by the government board include IAS, IFS, ESE etc. Every year many aspirants take over the preparations for the examinations conducted by the UPSC. Also, the exams are known as one of the toughest and tricky examinations as the positions serves Indian’s one of the highest government ranks. Now the department is set to organise the examination for the Combined Defence Service Examination (CDS). This is for appointing the aspirants over the 200 unoccupied posts for the Indian Naval Academy, Indian Military Academy, Air Force, Officer training etc.
Age Limit
- Indian Military Academy : candidates born after 1992 but not after 1997
- Indian Naval Academy: candidates born after 1992.
- Air force : the age limit of the aspirant must be between 20 to 25 years
Education qualification
The aspirant must have a degree in the respective field from any recognised university for the Military Academy while a Bachelor of Engineering in Indian Naval Academy and a graduate degree in Mathematics and Physics at HSC as optional subjects.
Application Fee Payment
The fees for the application form will be of 200/-. The mode of the payment will be online.

- You will get a section notification form at the top corner
- Click on the link and the form loads
- Submit your details
- Upload the scanned photo with the thumb impression
- You need to pay the online fee in the next step
- Now submit your form
- Note down the details appears after submitting the form
Selection Procedure
The candidates will have to go for a written test. After this, they have to appear for a personal interview. The candidates shortlisted in this stage will have to go for the documents verification. If selected then the aspirant will have to the medical checkup. All the stages mark equally for the judgment made regarding the appointment for the aspirant to the applied post.
UPSC Exam Pattern
The paper will be going to consist of 3 subjects English, GK and Elementary mathematics. The paper will be off 300 marks for which 100 marks allotted to each subject.
