In 1922, the University of Delhi was founded which was a residential, unitary and teaching university. This university holds 27 colleges under its affiliation in which it mainly handles all the courses and so on in which the courses will be different from the one and other colleges. The university will handle all the activities from educational to extra activities so that all the colleges will be in under the control of University of Delhi. The affiliated colleges are within the state of Delhi but they are from the different cities so that each and every city in Delhi will have a college. On talking about the examination, the examinations will be conducted by the university so that the university will prepare the question papers and answer sheets for the students as the students must write the examination only on the answer sheets that are provided by the university. The examinations will be conducted at same time and date in all the affiliated colleges by the university in which the examination centers of the students will be allotted in the same colleges and the same college staffs will supervise the hall of examination in which some staffs will be allotted from other university so that they will supervise the staffs and also the halls of the examination.

The examinations will be conducted twice in a year as that which is based on the courses as semester so that in arts and science colleges, there will be only six semesters and in engineering colleges, there will be eight semesters in which engineers courses is up to four years and the arts course is up to three years only. The exams in the arts and science colleges will be conducted different at different times and so that the engineering college exams will be conducted after the examinations of the arts examination.
