Diploma courses which are being offered by the polytechnic colleges after completing the 10th are technical training programs in various fields of engineering. Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE) is responsible for guiding the technical education institution in Tamilnadu and provide them with syllabus and instructions for academic programs. The examinations for the students studying in the various polytechnic colleges in Tamilnadu have been completed according to the instructions from TNDTE. Students who are studying in the polytechnic colleges can apply for the Engineering programs by attending the counseling conducted by the TNDTE for Diploma students.
