TN TRB Polytechnic Lecturer Eligibility Criteria 2017
Lecturer in Non-Engineering Subjects – First class Master’s degree in the appropriate branch of study.
Important Note: Candidates should possess the requisite qualification in relevant subject awarded by an University or Institutions recognized by University Grants Commission. As per the G.O.No.242 Higher Education (P1) Dept., dated 18.12.2012, for engineering subjects, the candidates should qualify 10+2+4 / 10+3+3 pattern for engineering subject and 10+2+3+2 / 10+3+3+2/ 11+2+3+2 pattern for non-engineering subject.

TN TRB Lecturer post Selection Procedure 2017
Certificate VerificationThe certificates have to be produced at the time of Certificate Verification by candidate, Original Certificates and Mark statements pertaining to the following Educational qualifications.
- 10th / SSLC
- H.S.C. or its equivalent.
- U.G. Degree in the relevant subject / P.G. Degree in the relevant subject.
- a) Community Certificate: Community Certificate should be obtained from the below mentioned authorities of Government of Tamilnadu for candidates claiming Communal reservation.
- ST – Revenue Divisional Officer ( if the certificate is issued after 11.11.1989) SC/SCA – Tahsildar of native taluk of the candidate.
- BC / MBC / DNC – Headquarters Deputy Tahsildar or Special Deputy Tahsildar.
Note: Community Certificate of married women issued in father’s name (Not in Husband’s Name) alone shall be accepted.
Community certificates issued by other State and Union Territory will not be considered against vacancies reserved for 69% communal reservation. They will be considered only for Open Competition.
b) Tamil Medium Study Certificate: Candidate who claims reservation under PSTM category has to produce Tamil Medium Study Certificate in the prescribed format.
c) Teaching Experience Certificate (If applicable): Teaching Experience Certificate in the prescribed format for working as a Lecturer in the applied post, after completing all the required qualifications for the post, to be produced for claiming weightage marks for teaching experience.
d) Disability Certificate (If applicable): A candidate who wants to avail the benefit of reservation for PWD would have to submit an Identity Card and Passbook with Disability Certificate issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
Awarding weightage marks
- 2 Marks – Experience in Polytechnic/Arts college for 2 years full time or Experience in Polytechnic/Arts college for 4 years in part time.
- 3 Marks – Completed M.E/ M.Tech or M.phil in relevant discipline.
- 5 Marks – Completed Ph.D. in relevant discipline.
The total score of both the written test and awarding will taken to order the selected candidate and post the candidate depend on the vacancy in the relevant scheme.
