SSC CPO Physical Test (PET) for SI & ASI 2018: The Staff Selection Commission has announced the recruitment 2018 for Central Police Organisation. There are total 1223 vacancies to be filled for the posts of Sub Inspectors & Assistant Sub Inspectors. For the preparation of SSC CPO Exam, you should be aware of exam pattern and the selection process. SSC will select the most suitable candidates on the basis of  Written Papers and Physical Endurance Test. Physical Endurance Test will be qualifying in nature. SSC CPO Physical Test

  • After you qualify in Paper I, you will be called for Physical Standard Test (PST),  Physical Endurance Test (PET) and Medical Test.
  • You will be eligible for Paper II only if you qualify the Physical Test.
  • However, the physical test will be qualifying in nature and will not be considered for merit list.
  • Only your combined performance in Paper-I & Paper-II will be considered for merit list.
  • Ex-servicemen will not need to qualify Physical Test.

Eligibility for SSC CPO Physical Test 2018

SSC CPO will conduct the physical standards test, on the basis of which you will be considered for further selection. Given below are the details of Physical Standards Required for Male and Female.

*Note: The hilly areas, as mentioned in the Official Notification are – Garhwal, Kumaon, Himachal Pradesh, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, Kashmir Valley, Leh & Ladakh regions.

SSC CPO Physical Endurance Test (PET)

SSC CPO will conduct the physical endurance test. There will be separate test criteria for male and female. You will have to perform the activities as described below:

Male Candidates

  • 100 meters race in 16 seconds
  • 1.6 Km race in 6.5 minutes
  • Long Jump – 3.65 meters in 5 chances
  • High Jump – 1.2 meters in 3 chances
  • Short put 16 LBS – 4.5 meters in 3 chances

Female Candidates

  • 100 meters race in 18 seconds
  • 800 meters race in 4 minutes
  • Long Jump – 2.7 metres or 9 feet in 3 chances
  • High Jump – 0.9 metres or 3 feet in 3 chances

Medical Test for SSC CPO 2018

After qualifying PET, there will be your medical examination by the Medical Officer of the CAPFs or any Medical Officer/Assistant Surgeon (Grade I). If in case you fail the test, you will be informed and you will be allowed to question the result by making an appeal to Review Medical Board within 15 days.

Criteria for the medical test will be as given below:

  • Your minimum near vision should be N6 (better eye) and N9 (worse eye). The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye).
  • Your eye standards should be without visual correction of any kind even by glasses.
  • You must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes.
  • You should be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
