There has been the delay in the declaration of the result as Regional Railway Recruitment Board are preparing results of their respective regions. As per secondary sources, the result is being delayed as the answer sheets of the candidates are being compiled, which would take a while in declaring the result. Approximately, 3 lakhs aspirants had appeared for 2nd Stage CBT for the RRB Non-Technical Popular Category. The result will be soon uploaded to the official website.
When our team tried approaching the sources regarding the result declaration, it was conveyed that result will be delayed with few days as final computation is still undergoing. It is almost clear that the result will be computed for all the regional recruitment board followed by the creation of the merit list. One more reason which is making delay in result declaration is 4 categories, which will enable the candidates for document verification stage which would lead to final recruitment after the declaration of the result. Candidates should have patience and keep waiting for the result to be announced within the short span of time.
RRB NTPC was conducted by Railway Recruitment Board last year. A record 54 lakh candidates had applied for over 18,000 posts in the 9 Non-Technical Popular Categories. Considering large number of applicants, the Railway Recruitment Board had decided to conduct the second leg of the computer-based test to further prune down the list. The Second Stage CBT was conducted in the month of January 2017. Sources had revealed that the result would be declared by end of February. However, it is estimated now that the computation of the 2nd Stage CBT Results might take another month.

RRB NTPC Exam : Change in Pattern
A lot of aspirants were anxious as to why RRB NTPC Pattern is changed. The following reasons came to the fore –

The following notice was officially uploaded by RRBs in regards to the changed RRB NTPC Process – “RRBs will hold a 2nd stage Computer Based Test (CBT) for various NTPC (Graduate) category posts, in terms of Para 8.12 and 14.03 of CEN No. 03/2015. Candidates equal to 15 times of vacancies shall be called for 2nd stage CBT based on the merit position in the CBT held during 28/03/2016 to 03/05/2016 (hereinafter called 1st Stage CBT). Final selection of candidates will be based on merit position obtained in the 2nd stage CBT and/or result of Aptitude Test/Typing Skill Test wherever applicable. Normalisation of marks will be done as per extant rules in 1st and 2nd stage CBT. 2nd stage CBT is likely to include questions pertaining to General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and Reasoning. The duration of 2nd stage CBT will be of 90 minutes covering 120 multiple choice objective questions. The date(s) of 2nd stage CBT shall be published on RRB’s website in due course.
