Eligibility Criteria for RRB Railway Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician Post 2019
Qualification:
- For Assistant Loco Pilot Job- Applicant should be minimum 10th passed and should have ITI Certificate from any recognized university of India.
- For Technician (Grade III) Job- Candidate should have completed 12th examination.
Age Limit:
- Applicant’s age should be between 18 to 28 years as on 01.07.2018. Age relaxation is available for reserved categories as per the government rules.
- OBC Category: 3 Years (Age Relaxation)
SC/ST Category: 5 Years (Age Relaxation)
Application Fee:
- General and OBC Category: 500/- Rupees
- SC/ST/Female and other: 250/- Rupees
Application fee can be submitted by online and offline both mode.
(a.) Applicants can make online payment through net banking or debit/credit card.
(b.) Candidates can also pay application fee through SBI Challan and Post Office Challan.

RRB ALP And Technician Exam Pattern 2019-
Stage of Exam-
There will be two stages in examination First Stage CBT and Second Stage CBT. These stages will be common for both technician and ALP. Candidate who have opted for ALP and qualified in second stage CBT will have to undergo computer aptitude test.
RRB ALP & Technician Exam Pattern-
First Stage CBT (Common for ALP/Technician)- Exam duration will be 60 mins and number of questions will be 75.
Minimum Qualifying Marks category wise
- For General (UR)- 40% marks
- For OBC and SC- 30% Marks
- For SC- 25% Marks
The first stage CBT will be screening nature and the standard of questions for the CBT will be generally in conformity with the educational standards and/or minimum technical qualifications prescribed for the posts. The score of first stage exam shall be used only for short listing of candidates for second stage exam as per their merit.
Second Stage CBT– Short listed candidates of first stage CBT will be able to appear in second stage CBT. Total exam duration will be 2.30 hrs for Part A and B. In second stage CBT there will be 175 questions. Exam will be conducted in two stages Part A and Part B.
Part A- Part A duration will be 90 mins and 100 questions will be asked in the examination.
Minimum Qualifying Marks category wise
- For General (UR)- 40% marks
- For OBC and SC- 30% Marks
- For SC- 25% Marks
Part B – Part B Duration will be 60 mins and total 75 questions will be asked in part B. Minimum qualifying marks will be 35% for all category. No relaxation is permissible.
Negative Marking- There shall be negative marking for incorrect answers in First and Second Stage CBT. 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be deducted for each wrong answer. There shall be no negative marking for Computer Based Aptitude Test.
