Mahatma Gandhi University Common Admission Test 2017-18
Mahatma Gandhi University is one of the affiliating Universities of Kerala, situated in the Central Kerala District of Kottayam. Applications are invited for Mahatma Gandhi University Common Admission Test (CAT-MGU 2017-17) for admissions to the Post Graduate programmes in the Statutory Teaching Departments and Inter School Centre of the University. The admissions based on CAT-MGU will be through a Centralized allotment Process. There will be separate entrance test for various programmes offered by the university. The candidates need to register only one application for opting a maximum of 4 academic programmes/ cluster of programmes based on their eligibility.

The application fee for general candidates is Rs.500 per each program and for SC/ST candidates from Kerala is Rs.250 per each program.

CAT-MGU 2017 Application Procedure
Here are the steps to apply for the CAT-MGU 2017 application process.
- Go to the official website, cat.mgu.ac.in and click on the link “Apply Online”.
- Create an account by entering a valid email ID and choosing a password for it and then save the details and continue.
- On next screen, an application number will be generated, note it down for future use and click on continue button.
- Now upload you recent passport size photograph and click on next button.
- In next step enter all the necessary basic and qualification details.
- Now, select the programme of your choice and move to the next step.
- Make the payment online by credit/debit/cash cards or through internet banking.
- After choosing the payment option and ensuring the correctness of the application click on the final submit button.
- Candidates are advised to take a printout of the completed application form for future reference.

CAT-MGU 2017 Exam Pattern
- There will be objective type multiple-choice questions for all programmes except for those in School of Letters, School of Tourism Studies, and School of Indian Legal Thought for which both multiple choice questions and descriptive type questions will be asked.
- The duration of test will be 90 minutes for all the programmes.
CAT-MGU 2017 Exam Center
CAT-MGU 2017 will be conducted in Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Kochi, and Kozhikode. Applicants can opt for a maximum of 3 centers on preference basis. The centers opted by applicants will be their options. The actual centre will be allotted by Mahatma Gandhi University which will be final.
