The Jiwaji University follows the CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) system and it has ATKT procedure (Allowed To Keep Terms) for students who have failed to score necessary points in the subjects in the previous year to continue the next year with one year time for reappearing the exams without losing any credits. Though this method faces a lot of critics from the teaching side, according to them the ATKT method discourages the students and reduces the quality of education. The CBCS system gives the students to choose their subjects from a list of elective subjects.
