Joint Entrance Examination 2018

Joint Entrance Examination is being conducted for admission to the various Engineering courses in the colleges in India. Students who want to study B.E and B.Tech courses in National Institutes of Technology, Indian Institutes of Information Technology, Other central/state funded technical institutions, and several other Institutes like DTU, NSIT, PEC, Thapar University, IIIT Hyderabad etc. have to pass the JEE Main Examination. Last year nearly 2 million students are attending this entrance exam to get into the Technological Education in higher studies.

To apply for the Joint Entrance Examination, the students should have scored at least 75% marks in their class 12. The exam will be based on three subjects, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The JEE Main has two papers and the students are advised to check whether you need to apply for both of the exams in the institution that you are applying for. Some of the Universities ask the students to apply for both the exams.

The totals score for the exam will be 360 and the paper 1 will have 90 questions that have 30 questions each on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The Paper 2 will have an aptitude and Drawing Test as extra along with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. There will be negative marks for the wrong answers. 0.25 marks will be reduced for every wrong answer.

The blank answers or if the student did not answer a particular question there will be no reduction for the wrong answer. So only, answer the questions that you are confident and do not forget to erase the marks that you made for reviewing the question again or if you have any doubts because answering a question twice will be counted as the wrong answer and the marks will be reduced.
