About CA Exam

ICAI conducts CA Final exam twice a year and the latest exam was conducted in May. CA Final exam, being touted as one of the toughest examination across the country, has always been tough for candidates to crack. With as low as 3-5 overall pass percentage, candidates find it real tough to qualify the exam. A total of 42,469 candidates had taken the exam (both group I & II) in November last year 2016, while only 2,440 were declared qualified. The pass percentage of group I was 12.61 while that for Group II was 11.99 last year wherein 77,442 and 75,774 candidates took the test for Group I and II respectively. The case may be same for this year exam too, however, the real picture would be clear once the results are out.

A candidate is considered to have passed if he/she secures a minimum of 40 percent marks in each paper of the group or a minimum of 50 percent marks in the aggregate of all the papers of that group. CA Final result would be published online on both official sites, www.icai.nic.in and www.caresults.nic.in and candidates will be able to access their result using respective registration number or PIN number. Another facility for candidates to get their result along with marks is available, for it candidates need to send an SMS to 58888 in the following format : Type CAFNL<space>Six-digit Roll Number.

ICAI would also release the All-India merit list of 50 candidates securing minimum 55 percent marks. If a candidate is not satisfied with the result, he/she can apply for revaluation by submitting a hand-written application to ICAI, along with a demand draft.
