The Bharathiyar University is one of the distinguished educational institutions in Tamilnadu. It was established in 1982 and now it’s one of the major educational institutions in India. Bharathiyar University now has lot of affiliated colleges all over Tamilnadu and offers UG, PG, Certificate courses, Diploma courses and PG diploma courses. Including students from management studies the University has the strength around 11000.The courses offered by the Bharathiyar University varies from Management studies to Biotechnology. It also offers doctoral research programs.

The examinations for undergraduate degree examinations are starting in April. the exams for all B.Sc courses like B.Sc ( Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Plant Biology and other courses ) is beginning in April 13 and continues until the last week of April. The notification for B.B.A and other B.A degree examinations have been announced. The exams are starting on April and continue until May. The evaluation process is expected to begin on May and the results may arrive soon after that.

The examinations for PG courses like M.A ( Tamil, History, English literature, Economics and other courses) are beginning on 13th April. It also includes courses like Visual communication. The Bharathiyar University also follows the Choice Based Credit System in PG courses. The CBCS system gives the freedom to students to choose their elective subjects. The scores will be calculated as credit point averages instead of conventional mark system. This method provides the freedom to choose to the students. Even though this system is implemented some of the colleges affiliated to the University may not allow the students to choose the subjects to avoid additional work load.

The examinations for Bharathiyar University UG, PG degree courses April May 2017 will continue until May. The results will be announced some time after the evaluation.
