Banaras Hindu University is also known as the Central Hindu University is located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. With more than 12000 students residing on the campus, it has the title of the largest residing university in Asia. The University is popular for its various well knew campuses like the IIT BHU (Indian Institute of Technology), and Institute of Medical Sciences. The university has 6 institutes that offer courses in 14 faculty streams through the 140 departments that are under the faculties. The Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi is one of the IIT’s and offers courses in Technical education and research. Institute of Science offers courses in undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.d. in disciplines like M.Sc. (Tech.) in Geophysics, MCA, and research programmes along with vocational courses, Industrial Microbiology and Electronics Instrumentation and Maintenance.
