Seat Allotments
The seats are allotted to all the castes and the male and the female candidates alike. The reservation classes will receive relaxation in fields like age and other physical and health examinations.
Qualifications
Since the seats are just in various fields, thus one must simply understand that there is simply no way that there would be a set qualification criteria, however, the minimum criteria are class X or equivalent board pass out from any reputed board for all. While a few also has the qualification limit set up at 12 or 10+2 level. The departments like the medical and the engineering ones need a pharmacy or a diploma degree at the least to qualify for the posts.
Assam Rifles Age criteria
The posts of clerk and personal assistants require being aged between 18-40. Posts available in medical, engineering and the tradesmen are those where you need to be between 18-23 years of age to apply. 5 years of age relaxation will be given to SC/ST candidates, while for OBC candidate 3 years will be provided as relaxation.
Selection Procedure
The process of getting yourself selected in the desired post is just not that easy as it sounds. There are just way too many stages and various departments that one would have to clear with excellence so that one would get a job that they had dreamt of. To start with, the candidate must first apply to the exam, which would cost him Rs 50. The posts of clerks and the Warrant officers would require a physical examination and they would be able to qualify, depending on various physical standards. The elected candidates would then sit on for a written test and they would then be the final list that would be prepared considering both the tests performed. The only other form of appointment is the compassionate appointment, available for the family members of those who died or lost their jobs in the service just because of medical inabilities.
Fees and Application Charges
The form costs Rs 50 and one must make sure that the form is sent by post to the director of Assam Rifles. One would have to pay the amount by challan from SBI Bank. Only one form is valid per candidate. Candidates filling out more than one forms will be terminated from the examination at large.
