The Gulbarga University was established in 1980 near Bellary in Karnataka as higher education institution to offer post graduate courses in various disciplines and the Gulbarga University became one of the well known educational University in the state of Karnataka with various departments of studies like Arts and Humanities, Science, Technology, Law, Education, Commerce and Management. The CBCS method allows students to select their subjects from a list of elective subjects and gives the freedom to choose what they want to learn and changes the conventional mark based evaluation system into a credit based evaluation system that uses credits and credit point average for measuring the performance.
